During the course of an aerial picture shoot we may take up to 50 photographs of each site. We take many pictures to provide you with a wider range of shots - taken from different angles, altitudes and directions. We also take photographs at a variety of shutter speeds and exposures.
Back on the ground, we do an assessment of all of the photographs and select one or two of the best quality shots which we think meets your brief most accurately. We put these images into a folder which we call "The Best".
Unlike other photographers however, we also provide you with ALL of the other shots taken on the shoot (we call them "The Rest"). These pictures are usually less technically proficient and some photographers would discard them - but we'll leave that judgement to you. We find that clients prefer to see everything we took during a sortie.
Each picture has a unique file number. When you have had a good look at all of the pictures, select one image from each site and contact us with the file numbers of those you want to use.
We'll then enhance the images, using Adobe Photoshop, to ensure they are as good as we can make. We'll can e-mail you the finished image (or supply it on a USB stick or disk), as required. Our fee includes image manipulation on one picture per site (up to one hour per selected image) - so make sure you choose the very best picture.
When we manipulate your chosen image, we may alter its brightness, contrast or colour balance. We can also "air brush" the image to ensure that the aircraft super-structure, for instance, is removed. We can also add boundary lines and overlays - just quote the file number and let us know what you want.
